Global Green Scholars Program (GGSP) - ReNew Power

The Global Green Scholars Program (GGSP) is the flagship international internship program at ReNew Power. The program was launched in 2017 with an aim to attract bright and passionate talent from top universities across the globe, who are interested in renewable energy, sustainability, the energy transition and related topics which concern clean energy space and is looking to build a career in this sector. Aimed at promoting diversity and exchange of ideas, this program is designed for students with a stellar academic and co-curricular record, with an inclination towards action and have a keen interest to familiarize themselves with how a leading renewable energy company works. We envision GGSP as a channel to attract best talent to this important sector by giving them exposure and learning so they can form an idea what this sector is all about.

Internship Opportunities - Chevron

1. Chevron Technology Ventures: Strategy & Technology Summer Intern, Houston, TX

MS 1st year or Ph.D. Students in Energy Systems or Engineering

Additional Skills: Strategy, Business Acumen

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Develop enterprise technology strategy in areas related to energy transition, digital and for supporting Chevron's core operations.  The work will include conducting techno-economic feasibility studies.

The energy transition areas include all aspects of the hydrogen value chain, carbon capture utilization and storage, energy storage systems, circular plastics and other lower carbon technologies.  Digital technology strategy areas include machine learning, robotics and automation, cybersecurity, blockchain etc.

STEM background with some business/commercial skills preferred. Will consider Ph.D. and MBA candidates with STEM background, along with undergraduates (rising Junior or Senior).

2. Chevron Technology Ventures: Venture Capital Summer Intern, Houston, TX

 MBA Students in Business or Finance, Investment (open to those that have completed Freshman – Junior year)

Additional Skills: Venture Capital, Investing, Engineering Degree also a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Due Diligence - Technical due diligence on potential venture capital investments, including review of technical documentation, discussions with technical experts on a variety of disciplines associated with the investment, and plain-language written and verbal communication of technical findings.

Deal Flow - Support the review of relevant inbound and outwardly-sourced investment opportunities.  Assess quality of companies’ technologies, key technical risks, pathways to commercialization, and regulatory constraints (where necessary).

Technology Landscapes - Construct a market map framework to characterize a technology vertical’s startup ecosystem, market potential, economic attributes, and enabling technology, expertise, infrastructure and investment.

NICE is the corporate research arm of China Energy Investment Corporation which is an integrated energy company and a Global Fortune 500.
